The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued an

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Brown County in west central Texas...
McCulloch County in west central Texas...

* until 145 am CDT

* at 1144 PM CDT... showers were producing very heavy rainfall over
Brown and McCulloch counties. Rainfall amounts have been 1/2 to 1
inch during the past hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible through 145 am. Also... a few thunderstorms are
possible.

* Impacts from this heavy rainfall will include:
flooding of low lying roads and intersections.
Flooding of low water crossings... avoid these areas.
Rapid rise of area creeks... streams... and arroyos.

Locations in the advisory include...
Brownwood... early... Lohn... Pear Valley... placid... Waldrip... Fife...
Milburn... Indian Creek... thrifty...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of west central Texas...
including the following areas... Brown... Coleman... Concho...
Irion and Tom Green.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* periods of showers and thunderstorms have already produced 1 to
2 inches of rainfall today... with an additional 1 to 3 inches
possible through Wednesday morning. Some areas may see isolated
totals that would be even higher.

* Flash flooding of urban areas..low water crossings and other low
lying areas will be likely as the heavier rainfall moves across
the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that heavy rainfall may lead to flash
flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
