northern and central Tom Green County in west central Texas...
southeastern Coke County in west central Texas...

* until 230 am CDT

* at 1230 am CDT National Weather Service radar indicated a large
cluster of thunderstorms with very heavy rain over northern Tom
Green and southeastern Coke counties. This cluster of storms was
moving to the southwest at 15 mph and will overspread the San
Angelo area.

* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches is expected in a short period
of time with a few higher amounts possible. This will cause
considerable street flooding in San Angelo.

* Impacts from this heavy rainfall will include:
flooding of low lying roads and intersections.

Rapid rise of area creeks... streams... and arroyos.

Locations in the advisory include...
San Angelo... San Angelo State Park... o.C. Fisher Reservoir... Twin
Buttes Reservoir... Lake Nasworthy... Harriet...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
