Special Statement
Statement as of 2:56 PM EST on March 05, 2015

... Patchy black ice likely across north and much of central
Georgia tonight...

As a very cold air mass continues to spread in over the state
this evening and overnight... temperatures will fall at or below
freezing for most areas. This coupled with wet grounds from
widespread rains will result in patches of black ice... resulting
in slick spots on area roads and bridges. The main black ice
threat tonight will be generally along and north of a Columbus to
Macon to Warrenton line... and through Friday morning.

People traveling across north and much of central Georgia
tonight and Friday morning should use extra caution and be
prepared for slick spots on roads.
