* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
east central Duval County in northeastern Florida...

* until 1015 PM EDT

* at 819 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to an inch of rain has already fallen in
some areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jacksonville... Arlington... Neptune Beach... San Pablo... Fort
Caroline... Craig Field... Riverside... San Marco and Tallyrand.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in
urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

* until 1000 PM EDT

* at 803 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jacksonville... St. Marys... Kingsland... Fernandina Beach...
Jacksonville international Arpt... Kings Bay base... Yulee...

At 826 PM EDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles east of Oceanway to
San Marco... and moving east at 15 mph.

Gusty winds of 45 to 55 mph can be expected along with possible minor
wind damage.

Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville... Ponte Vedra Beach... unf... Arlington... Neptune Beach...
Craig Field... baymeadows... San Marco... San Pablo... Little Talbot
Island... Palm Valley... Fort Caroline... sawgrass... NAS jax and
Tallyrand.

thunderstorms along a line extending from near St. Marys to near
Cisco gardens... and moving northeast at 20 mph.

Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning can be expected. Postpone outdoor
activities promptly. Go quickly inside a completely enclosed
building. Unplug electronic devices and appliances as they are
susceptible to power surges and may be damaged by nearby lightning
strikes. Gusty winds of 30 to 45 mph are also possible... as well as
heavy rainfall.
