... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 10 PM EDT this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a coastal
Flood Advisory... which is in effect until 10 PM EDT this evening.

* Location... areas along the coast of southeast South Carolina and
southeast Georgia including downtown Charleston... Tybee
Island... and downtown Savannah.

* Tide levels... the evening high tide will peak between 7.2 and
7.4 feet mean lower low water in Charleston Harbor... and between
9.1 and 9.3 feet mean lower low water at fort Pulaski. Shallow
salt water flooding typically begins around 7 feet mean lower
low water in Charleston Harbor... and at 9.2 feet mean lower low
water at fort Pulaski.

* Timing... high tide is expected to occur around 815 PM at both
Charleston Harbor and fort Pulaski.

* Impacts... inundation of saltwater in and near low-lying
coastal areas could lead to some Road closures and flooding of
properties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for the possibility of Road closures and minor
flooding of properties. If travel is necessary... do not attempt
to drive through water of unknown depth.
