The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 1 PM Wednesday to 7 am EST Thursday.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be especially prone to capsizing.

Subject: change in gage zero and flood stage at Augusta Georgia on the Butler Creek/Savannah River
The U.S. Geological survey will change the gage datum on the river gage at Augusta on the Butler Creek/Savannah River from 95.58 feet above mean sea level to mean sea level (msl) which is zero. The change in the gage datum requires a change in the flood stage.
The change will become effective at 1700 coordinated Universal time on Monday December 21 2009 (noon eastern Standard time).
The change in the datum to zero will require a change in the flood stage to insure that there will be no change in the NWS forecast and warning service for Augusta on the Savannah River.
The new flood stage will be set at 117.5 feet above mean sea level. The previous flood stage was 22 feet (117.58 feet msl). The new flood stage is rounded to the nearest half foot.
