Issued: 2:52 PM EST Feb. 14, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
7 PM EST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued
a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... sleet... and freezing rain... which
is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Monday. The Winter
Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations... the central and southern North Carolina mountains.

* Hazards... snow... mixing with and changing over to sleet and
freezing rain.

* Timing... snow will begin this evening and last into Monday
morning. The snow will mix with sleet Monday morning... changing
over briefly to freezing rain by midday. A changeover to all
rain is expected Monday afternoon into Monday evening.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches... along with
around a trace of ice.

* Winds... south 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Impacts... accumulations of snow... sleet... and freezing rain may
result in difficult travel conditions.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
