Sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph will continue across the higher elevations of the mountains of North Carolina tonight. Gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible as well. While winds and gusts of these speeds will be mainly limited to ridge top locations... some of these winds could be seen in the valleys... especially valleys with a southern or western exposure. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
