... Slick spots possible on roads across the sandhills and southern
coastal plain this evening...

As the wintry mix of precipitation comes to an end this
afternoon... many roads across portions of the sandhills and
southern coastal plain will remain wet. Temperatures are hovering
at or just below the freezing mark and will fall into the mid 20s
overnight. Even though the Winter Weather Advisory has been
cancelled... a few slick spots and hazardous travel conditions will
continue to be possible in these areas. Motorists are urged to
drive with caution.

There will be an increased risk of fire danger on Saturday as
