... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 2 PM EST this
afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and snow... which is in effect until 2
PM EST this afternoon.

* Locations... the sandhills... including the Lillington and
Fayetteville areas.

* Hazard types... bursts of sleet and snow will cause roads to
become slushy and travel will be hazardous.

* Accumulations... sleet and snow accumulations of less than one
half inch.

* Timing... through early afternoon.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for sleet means periods of sleet are
imminent or occurring. Sleet may cause driving to become
extremely dangerous... so be prepared to use caution when
