* At 10 am Sunday the stage was 9.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 10.8 feet by Tuesday evening then begin
falling.
* Impact... at 11.0 feet... flooding threatens two homes on State Road 54.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... flooding begins at the Recreation Area on State Road
54.

* from Tuesday evening until further notice.
* At 9 am Sunday the stage was... 8.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday evening and
continue to rise to near 9.0 feet by Tuesday evening. Additional rises are
possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 9.0 feet... farms and pastureland flood.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 9.0 feet on Dec 27
2002.

Warning continues for
the Withlacoochee at Trilby
* until further notice.
* At 9 am Sunday the stage was... 13.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 14.2 feet by Tuesday morning
then begin falling.
* Impact... at 14.2 feet... River Road east of the river is flooded. One campsite
at the park is flooded. Peterson Park is flooded and closed. One home on
cercelia Road is isolated. The Florida campland is flooded. Wood River Court
homes are isolated. And the Withlacoochee River canoe rental is flooded.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... flooding begins at Lacoochee, Talisman estates,
Riverdale, and river height estates.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 14.2 feet on Jul 31

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday afternoon and
continue to rise to near 21.1 feet by Wednesday afternoon. The river is
expected to fall below flood stage by Friday morning.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... there is water over the roadway along the Elfers
Parkway.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 21.0 feet on Aug 12
2003.

The Flood Watch continues for

Pasco... coastal Sarasota... inland Charlotte... inland
Hernando... inland Hillsborough... inland Lee... inland
Manatee... inland Pasco and inland Sarasota. In
Florida... DeSoto... Hardee... Highlands... Pinellas and Polk.

* Through Monday evening

* deep tropical moisture over the region combined with the
tropical moisture from the remnants of Erika moving into the
southeastern Gulf of Mexico will create a threat for very heavy
rainfall across west central and southwest Florida today through
Monday. 3 to 5 inches of rain with locally higher amounts is
possible.

* Heavy rain may create significant flooding of streets... urban
areas... and low lying flood prone areas. Additional river
flooding may develop across west central Florida... and
flooding will likely be exacerbated on rivers currently in
flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the next
24 to 36 hours. Residents living in flood prone areas should take
action to protect property.
