... Winter Storm Watch now in effect from late tonight through
Monday afternoon...

* locations... much of the Piedmont and far northwest sandhills
of North Carolina... mainly along and northwest of a line from
Albemarle to Carthage to Raleigh to Warrenton.

* Hazard types... precipitation will start out as light snow
Sunday night before trending to sleet then freezing rain early
Monday morning... and to just rain Monday afternoon.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 2 inch... along with a
tenth of an inch or less of ice.

* Timing... wintry precipitation is expected to start tonight...
and continue through Monday morning before it transitions to all
rain Monday afternoon.

* Impacts... travel may become difficult in this area tonight
through Monday afternoon.
