Coverage and intensity of the activity was highest west of Lake County and Lake Okeechobee. Through the early afternoon...showers and lightning storms will become numerous over the interior counties as the activity to the west moves east at 10 to 15 mph. Rain will likely start first from Lake County east to Interstate 4...and southward along the Kissimmee river to around Lake Okeechobee. The activity will reach the east coastal counties later this afternoon. Stronger afternoon storms will be capable of producing frequent lightning...wind gusts in excess of 40 mph...and torrential downpours of 1 to 2 inches in a 60 to 90 minute period.
