... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 am Sunday to 6 am EST
Monday...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... sleet... and freezing
rain... which is in effect from 4 am Sunday to 6 am EST Monday.

* Locations... along and west of the Allegheny Front.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... 3 to 5 inches of snow and sleet. Ice
accumulation up to one-tenth of an inch.

* Timing... snow will begin between 4 am and 7 am Sunday morning.
Snow will change to sleet and freezing rain late Sunday morning
across Virginia and eastern West Virginia... and between noon and
3 PM Sunday afternoon for western Maryland. Precipitation will
change to all rain late Sunday afternoon and evening before
ending as snow after midnight Sunday.

* Impacts... roads will be snow and ice covered Sunday and again
late Sunday night. Travelling will be dangerous during these
times. Visibility will be reduced below one-mile at times in
snow.

* Winds... south 10 to 15 mph with gusts around 20 mph... becoming
northwest after midnight Sunday.

* Temperatures... rising into the lower and middle 30s Sunday.
Temperatures will rise into the mid and upper 30s Sunday evening
before rapidly falling into the lower and middle 20s late Sunday
night.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
