The tail end of a cold front will move slowly through the Bahamas, bringing areas of showers and thunderstorms to the island chain and parts of southern Florida.

Drier weather farther to the west will greet the Gulf of Mexico, making the gulf the largest area of dry conditions in the tropical Atlantic Ocean.

Meanwhile, scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist through the heart of the Caribbean Sea, with the strongest thunderstorms just south of Hispaniola and Jamaica. Additional thunderstorms will be possible in the normal areas of Central America.

Moderate to strong winds are expected through the heart of the Caribbean Sea, while weak to moderate winds are anticipated elsewhere.
