Numerous showers with embedded thunderstorms will continue to affect portions of Miami Dade to Palm Beach counties through the next few hours. Over the next couple of hours the two main areas of concern continue to be: 1) the potential for street flooding across portions of southeast Broward and northeast Miami Dade and 2) strong thunderstorms across portions of Palm Beach County with main concerns being locally heavy rainfall and strong gusty winds in excess of 40-50 mph.

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
415 PM EST for northeastern Palm Beach County...

At 220 PM EST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. 4 to 6 inches of rain have fallen so far. Heavy
rain continues to fall in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
West Palm Beach... Jupiter... Palm Beach Gardens... Tequesta... North
County Airport... the acreage... Limestone creek... Philo farms...
Jupiter farms and caloosa.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas...
highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage
areas and low lying spots.
