... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am this
morning to 6 PM EST this evening...
... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from this evening through
Thursday morning...

* locations... western slope counties from parts of southeast
West Virginia south across southwest Virginia including the
high country of northwest North Carolina.

* Hazard types... snow and snow showers.

* Accumulations... 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible today... with
upwards of 3 inches at elevations above 4000 feet. Additional
heavier accumulations are possible tonight through midweek...
especially along the higher west facing slopes.

* Timing... snow arriving mid to late morning today... with added
periodic heavier snow showers tonight through early Thursday.
Snow today may be mixed with rain at times.

* Impacts... roads will become snow covered and slick and remain
hazardous due to additional snowfall during the week.

* Temperatures... in the 30s today and teens to lower 20s the rest
of the week.

* Wind chills... as cold as 5 to 20 below zero Wednesday night.
