... A period of heavier snow showers expected through early
morning...

Narrow bands of snow showers will continue to impact portions of
southeast West Virginia... the mountain Empire of southwest
Virginia... into the high country of North Carolina through early
morning. Some of the snow showers will be heavy with one inch
rates in less than an hour. This will be especially true in the
western slopes of the mountains. Winds will be strong and gusty
causing blowing snow and lower visibilities.

Even though amounts will not be great... the combination of the
snow and winds will make for treacherous travel... so if you can
stay in tonight please do so.
