... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 PM EST
Thursday...
... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am
EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Wind
Chill Advisory... which is in effect from midnight tonight to
10 am EST Thursday.

* Timing... through Thursday on snow... gradually tapering off
late... overnight tonight into Thursday morning on wind chill.

* Hazard types... snow showers of varying intensity and wind chill.

* Total snow accumulations from Monday night through Thursday... 6 to
12 inches.

* Temperatures... 2 to 16 above.

* Wind chill... as low as 16 below due to temperatures 2 to 13
above... and winds west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Impacts... travel may be difficult at times. Visibilities will
be limited at times.

* Winds... west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

With the colder weather... have your vehicle equipped with
emergency supplies.
