... High fire danger this afternoon...
A cold front will pass across the region this morning followed by
a surge of very dry air on gusty westerly winds this afternoon.
With relative humidity values falling to around 30 percent or
lower this afternoon... the combination of drying fuels and winds
gusting to 25 mph will make for high fire danger into early this
evening.
Outdoor burning is discouraged today... and any burning that must
take place... should be conducted with extreme caution. Please
take steps to prevent unintended or uncontrolled fires. Smoking
materials should be properly extinguished.
Monitor NOAA Weather Radio for the latest information... forecasts... and
possible red flag warnings.
