Through midnight...clusters of showers and thunderstorms will continue across the offshore Gulf waters 25 to 45 nm west of East Cape Sable...as well as the nearshore Gulf waters north of the Lower Keys. Elsewhere on the waters...isolated showers and thunderstorms will be found across the Florida Straits beyond 30 nm offshore of the upper and middle Florida Keys. Mariners in the path of the strongest showers and thunderstorms will encounter very brief heavy rainfall accompanied by cut visibility down below a nautical mile...isolated wind gusts around 25 knots...and occasional lightning strikes. Movement of these showers and storms continues the west near 10 knots.
