issued a Wind Chill Advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 am EST Sunday.

* Wind chills... 0 to 5 degrees below zero.

* Winds... northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Temperatures... falling into the single digits to low teens
tonight.

* Timing... late tonight through Sunday morning.

* Impacts... frost bite and hypothermia are possible if
precautions are not taken.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

... Snow squalls affecting interstates 70 and 81 in eastern West
Virginia and western Maryland...

Radar imagery showed snow squalls affecting Interstate 70 east of
Hagerstown to near Frederick Maryland. Other squalls were seen
affecting Interstate 81 in Martinsburg West Virginia and northern
parts of Frederick County Maryland. A quick half inch of snow
along with reduced visibilities to less than a mile can be
expected with some of these bands.
