Watches & Warnings

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 1:55 AM EST Feb. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 am EST this
morning...

* location... the Maryland counties of Caroline... Talbot and
Queen Anne's.

* Coastal flooding... minor flooding is anticipated around the
time of high tide late tonight and early on Wednesday morning.

* Timing... high tide works its way northward through the three
counties between about 500 am and 830 am on Wednesday.

* Impacts... localized roadway flooding is expected. Some roads
may be closed due to high water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some Road
closures. Usually... the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged... leading to
costly repairs.

For a list of the impact of different tide heights in your County
please go to www.Weather.Gov/phi/tides (all in lower case).

Special Statement
Issued: 3:33 AM EST Feb. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Icy spots on roads and walkways possible through the morning
commute...

Temperatures are below freezing for most of the region. As a
result, icy spots and black ice have developed on untreated roads
and walkways. Black ice can be nearly impossible to see. Use
extra caution when driving and walking this morning, especially on
untreated roads and bridges and overpasses.

Melting is expected later this morning, but likely not until
after the morning commute.
