Coastal Flood Warning
Issued: 5:02 PM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 7 PM EST this evening...

* location: areas of the Maryland Eastern Shore adjacent to the Bay and tidal
rivers.

* Timing: moderate flooding expected within a few hours either side of the
high tide cycle today.

* Impacts: inundation of water in and near low-lying coastal areas will lead
to Road closures and flooding of property.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or imminent. Coastal
residents in the warned area should be alert for rising water... and take
appropriate action to protect life and property. In addition... the combination
of high water and high waves will result in beach erosion... and damage to docks
and piers in locations exposed to high water and wave action.

All tide heights are relative to mean lower low water.
Time of the high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
Total tide combines astro tide and surge.
Flood category based on total tide.
