... A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for the island of Maui in
Maui County until 700 am HST...

The gauge on Honopou stream continued to report a water level near
the flood stage. Also... radar data continued to show rain over
northeast Maui.

Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Pauwela.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is imminent or occurring
in streams... roads and low lying areas. Move to higher ground now.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot.
Turn around... Don/T drown.


Runoff from this storm may also cause rock and mudslides in steep
terrain.

This warning may need to be extended beyond 700 am HST if flash
flooding persists.

The high surf advisory is now in effect until 6 PM HST Tuesday.

* Surf... rising to 10 to 15 feet along north facing shores and 6
to 9 feet along east facing shores.

* Timing... until 6 PM HST Tuesday.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves... shore
break... and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming
difficult and dangerous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Beachgoers... swimmers... and surfers should heed all advice given
by ocean safety officials and exercise caution. Boaters should
expect recreational surfers and body boarders utilizing Harbor
channels to access surfing areas.
