... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM EST this
evening...

* locations... the south-central mountains.

* Hazard types... mainly snow. There is a chance of freezing rain
late in the day... but mainly to the south of the Turnpike.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 3 inches.

* Ice accumulations... less than one tenth of an inch.

* Timing... snow will fall for much of the afternoon. The snow
could mix with sleet then freezing rain late in the afternoon
or evening... but most of the precipitation should be snow. The
snow will taper to flurries or patchy freezing drizzle early
tonight.

* Impacts... hazardous travel from snow or slush covered roads
and poor visibility at times. Across southern parts of the
state... untreated roadways and walkways may become icy if the
freezing rain mixes in to the snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Hazardous winter weather conditions are expected or occurring.
