... Red flag warning in effect from noon today to 8 PM EDT this
evening for all of eastern New York... Berkshire County of western
Massachusetts and Litchfield County of northwest Connecticut...

* winds... west to northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Timing... 12 PM to 8 PM Saturday.

* Relative humidity... minimum values from the mid to upper 20s.

* Temperatures... around 70 in valley locations to mainly 60s
elsewhere.

* Impacts... fires may spread rapidly and uncontrollably.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that dangerous fire weather conditions
are expected due to the combination of gusty winds... low relative
humidities... and dry fuels. Any fires that develop may quickly
get out of control and become difficult to contain.

today to 8 PM EDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no
longer in effect.

* Affected area... fire weather zone 038 Bradford... fire weather
zone 039 Susquehanna... fire weather zone 040 northern Wayne...
fire weather zone 043 Wyoming... fire weather zone 044
Lackawanna... fire weather zone 046 Otsego... fire weather zone
047 Luzerne... fire weather zone 048 Pike... fire weather zone
057 Delaware... fire weather zone 062 Sullivan and fire weather
zone 072 southern Wayne.
