Special Statement
Issued: 10:05 PM EST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... A band of moderate snow will work across the capital region
through midnight...

Radars indicated a band of snow... located across the eastern
Mohawk and Schoharie counties... will work into the capital
region through midnight.

Expect snowfall rates up to an inch per hour in some places which
will make all roads snow covered and slick. Visibilities will drop
to half a mile or less.

If you plan to travel through midnight in and around the capital
region anticipate tricky travel and allow a little extra
time to reach your destination.

The band should lift north of the capital region and or weaken
after midnight.
