... A band of snow showers crossing southern New Jersey and Delaware
this morning...

A band of briefly moderate snow showers will finish crossing
southern and central New Jersey as well as Delaware by around 10
am. Snow showers will briefly reduce visibility and coat untreated
pavements, bridges and overpasses with possibly a quick one
quarter to one half inch of snow in an hours time. This is enough
to make it slippery.

Snow showers were already tapering to flurries in southeast
Pennsylvania and Maryland's upper Eastern Shore.

Play it safe when stepping outside or traveling this morning.
There are likely to be icy stretches of pavement.

... Icy spots on roads and walkways possible through the morning
commute...

Temperatures are below freezing for most of the region. As a
result, icy spots and black ice have developed on untreated roads
and walkways. Black ice can be nearly impossible to see. Use
extra caution when driving and walking this morning, especially on
untreated roads and bridges and overpasses.

Melting is expected later this morning, but likely not until
after the morning commute.
