Statement as of 10:34 PM EST on December 21, 2009 Temperatures above freezing earlier today allowed for some melting of the snow pack across the region. Widespread sub freezing temperatures overnight will cause water on any untreated surfaces to refreeze. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution if driving tonight as some roads could be icy. 434 PM EST Mon Dec 21 2009 ... Areas of black ice expected on untreated surfaces tonight... Temperatures above freezing this afternoon has caused the snow pack across the region to begin melting. Temperatures will drop below freezing after sunset causing water on any untreated surfaces to refreeze. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution if driving tonight as some roads could be icy. |
