... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 4 am PST Saturday...

* timing... snow will increase tonight and continue into the early
morning hours on Saturday

* main impact... about 4 to 10 inches of new snow is expected
tonight with the highest amounts at Mount Baker and Mount
Rainier. Lower accumulations are expected at Stevens and
Snoqualmie Pass. The snow level will start out near 5000 feet
then lower to near 2000 feet after midnight.

* Other impacts... snowfall and low visibility could create
hazardous driving conditions in the Cascades overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

Issued: 3:03 PM PST Feb. 5, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Heavy rainfall through tonight will lead to an increased
threat of landslides in western Washington...

Rainfall of more than 5 inches over the past 15 days have saturated
soils across western Washington. Additional rainfall totals
through tonight will be up to 1 inch on the coast... 0.25 to 0.50
in the interior and 1-3 inches in the mountains which will
continue a threat of landslides.
