Special Statement
Issued: 2:57 PM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Light snow accumulations possible over portions of the Tennessee
Valley from early Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon...

A storm system will bring a very cold airmass across the Tennessee
Valley by tonight and Tuesday... along with scattered snow showers.
The snow showers will continue through the day on Tuesday... before
tapering off by Tuesday evening. Northwest and north central Alabama
will see snowfall amounts from a half to less than an inch.

Temperatures should generally remain at or slightly below freezing
during the day on Tuesday... with a few slick spots becoming possible
on Tuesday due to the snow showers. The slick spots will be
especially along bridges and overpasses by Tuesday morning...
continuing through the day. Caution while driving is advised.
