... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight EST
tonight...

* accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with
around a trace to 1/10 inch of ice. Areas west and north of
Trenton to New Bern... northeast to Bath and Swan Quarter are
expected to see the most ice accumulation. Closer to the
southern coast and southern Outer Banks the precipitation will
be mainly rain although could end as a light wintry mix.

* Timing... continuing through early evening.

* Impacts... ice spots will be possible on area roads with
bridges and overpasses being especially hazardous.

* At 8 am Friday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Swift Creek near streets Ferry.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8 PM Thursday the stage was 4.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring, river levels have been falling slowly
over the past 24 hours.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Impact... at 4.0 feet... water will overflow banks and begin to
threaten a few homes along streets Ferry Road just south of the
creek. Streets Ferry Road starts to flood.
