Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 10:29 PM EST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST
Tuesday...

* location... vulnerable areas of Highway 12 susceptible to ocean
overwash from large swells.

* Coastal flooding... ocean overwash is the main concern around the
time of high tide Tuesday morning. Large swells impacting the
beaches could produce erosion and minor ocean overwash. Water
could briefly cover portions of Highway 12 in areas where the
dunes have been breached during yesterdays storm.

* Timing... Tuesday morning around 745 am at the time of high tide.

* Impacts... minor ocean overwash and minor beach erosion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
and swell will combine to generate flooding of low areas along
the shore.
