==Discussion==

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in
some locations.

Light snow and blowing snow continue to give reduced visibilities
through many areas around Winnipeg as well as north and east of the
city early this evening, while blizzard conditions prevail in the
southern Red River valley as well as over the South Basin of Lake
Winnipeg. Winds have diminished enough to downgrade the Blizzard
Warning to a blowing Snow Advisory over the Portage la Prairie
region as well as lake Manitoba. Visibilities should show a gradual
improvement this evening as bands of snow over southern Manitoba
continue to weaken. Winds however will remain quite strong
throughout the night.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some
locations. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing Road
conditions. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued
by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to
storm(at)ec.Gc.CA or tweet reports to (hash)mbstorm.
