... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST this
morning above 3500 feet...

* locations... high elevations of the central and southern North
Carolina mountains.

* Impacts... wind chill values colder than 5 degrees below zero
will make it dangerous to be outside across the high elevations this
morning.

* Winds... northwest 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph on
ridgetops.

* Wind chill values... as low as 5 below.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
