Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 9:26 PM CST Feb. 13, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
Sunday...

* timing... intermittent snowfall will occur through the night. The
snowfall will then be ending Sunday morning.

* Accumulations... generally one and a half to 3 inches. However
there could be some locally higher amounts of 4 to 5 inches of
snow from Brookings South Dakota to Marshall Minnesota along
the Highway 14 corridor.

* Wind and visibility... southeast winds 20 to 30 mph could cause
visibilities to lower to less than a half mile in snow and
blowing snow in open areas. Brief whiteout conditions could be
possible after midnight tonight primarily in southwest
Minnesota.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.
