Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 3:30 AM HST Feb. 5, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Strong and gusty winds expected this weekend as a cold
front moves across the islands...

A fast-moving cold front will move across the island chain from
northwest to southeast... bringing a brief period of showers.
The front will reach Kauai late in the day Saturday... then move
quickly through the rest of the islands by Sunday morning.

Very cool... dry and gusty northerly winds are expected along and
after the front passes Saturday night and Sunday. It will be
locally windy... and strong wind gusts are possible downwind of
higher terrain. If you have loose outdoor objects... you may want
to consider securing them before the winds increase. Stay tuned
for forecast updates... especially if you have outdoor plans for
this weekend.
