... Beach hazards statement remains in effect through Monday
evening...

* location... all south and southwest facing beaches from Sonoma
County through Monterey County... including Sonoma coast State
Park beaches... Stinson Beach... Muir Beach... Natural Bridges
beach... Santa Cruz boardwalk beach... Twin Lakes Beach... and
Pfeiffer Beach.

* Timing... long period forerunners will move into the region
later today and tonight. Swell will build early Saturday
morning... peaking between 3 and 5 feet... with locally larger
waves through Monday evening.

* Impacts... dangerous rip currents... large shore breaks... and
sneaker waves.

Precautionary/preparedness actions... a beach hazard statement
means the potentially dangerous conditions may exist on specific
beaches. These hazards may include large shore break... strong rip
currents... strong longshore currents and possibly sneaker waves.
All of which could be life threatening. Be sure to always keep
your eyes on the ocean.
