Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 4:17 PM MDT on August 29, 2015

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
east central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 615 PM MST

* at 414 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from slow
moving thunderstorms between Sahuarita and Corona de Tucson.
Radar indicated that rainfall up to one inch may have fallen in
less than an hour. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding
in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Green Valley... Sahuarita... east Sahuarita... Summit and Corona de
Tucson.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in
urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Expect heavy flow in
normally dry washes. Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads.
