Special Statement
Statement as of 4:05 AM MDT on September 05, 2015

... Sharp cold front to bring cooler temperatures and possible
mountain snow this Labor Day weekend...

An area of low pressure... and its associated cold front... will
push across the cowboy state this Holiday weekend. Widespread
showers and afternoon thunderstorms will be possible ahead of this
front today across western Wyoming. A few storms could produce
frequent lightning and gusty winds at times. The mentioned cold
front will push from west to east late this afternoon and through
this evening. This could develop snow above 7500 feet... with
scattered rain showers below. By the time snow diminishes Sunday
morning... little accumulation is expected below 9500 feet... with
1 to 3 inches possible above 9500 feet.

Dry conditions are then expected for the rest of Sunday into Labor
Day. Much cooler temperatures are expected for Sunday... with highs
in the 40s and 50s. Morning lows on Monday will be in the 20s and
low 30s... with slightly warmer daytime highs in the 50s and 60s
expected.
