... Significant weather advisory for northeastern Natrona and
southeastern Johnson counties until 500 PM MDT...

At 419 PM MDT... Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
south of Midwest near State Highway 259. This storm was moving north
at 15 mph. Heavy rainfall of up to one inch is possible over a 30
minute period... which could quickly fill ditches... low lying
areas... dry washes... and small creeks. Frequent cloud-to-ground
lightning and wind gusts to 40 mph are also likely.

This strong thunderstorm will be near Midwest and Edgerton around
430 PM MDT. State highways 259 and 387 will also be impacted and
motorists should be prepared for ponding of water on the Road and
reduced visibility due to the heavy rain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 346 PM MDT... Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms near Antelope Hills and north of Casper... moving
northwest at 10 mph.

Heavy rainfall of around one-half inch is possible in 20 minutes
with these storms. Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph have been observed and
frequent lightning is also anticipated.

These storms will remain over northeast Natrona County and impact
locations along and west of I-25 and north of US 20/26.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
