Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 4:18 PM CDT on August 04, 2015

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
600 PM CDT for central Lincoln County...

At 417 PM CDT... emergency management reported heavy rain south of
Hershey due to thunderstorms that moved through earlier this
afternoon. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding. Up to
two inches of rain has fallen in some locations... but only light
additional amounts are expected over the hour.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hershey... Sutherland... Jeffrey Canyon State Wildlife Management
Area... Brady... Lake Maloney state Recreation Area... Cottonwood Canyon
State Wildlife Management Area... Maxwell... North Platte... North
Platte Airport... Sutherland Reservoir state Recreation Area...
Keith... Coker... O'Fallons and Birdwood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
