... Wind chills to dip near zero at several spots overnight...

With the departure of snow to the east after midnight, the focus
will be toward colder wind chills through daybreak on Wednesday.

With temperatures expected to persist in the teens under
persistent northwest winds, wind chills are will dip into the
single digits. By daybreak, wind chills will range from near five
above along the southern border of southeast Missouri and west
Kentucky, to below zero along the Interstate 64 corridor across
southern Illinois and southwest Indiana.

If you must be outdoors for a long period of time late tonight or
during the commute to work or school, be sure to put on layers of
clothes to insulate you from the cold. Heat loss is most
significant from the top of your head, as well as from your hands
and feet, so keep them covered.

Wind chills will slowly improve through the morning hours on
Wednesday.
