Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 7:45 AM CDT on September 05, 2015

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Vermilion County in east central Illinois...

* until 1045 am CDT

* at 743 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Two to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Danville... Hoopeston... Rossville... Bismarck... Henning... Vermilion
County Airport and Alvin.

Additional rainfall of one to two inches is still possible over the
area. This additional rain will make minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles
away.
