Watches & Warnings

Blizzard Warning
Issued: 4:05 AM CST Feb. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect from 9 am this morning to
6 am CST Monday...

* expect periodic blizzard conditions later today and persisting
into this evening.

* Winds gusting as high as 55 mph combined with areas of snow will
cause low visibility at times.

* Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected.

* Travel may be very difficult to impossible at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel... have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded... stay with your vehicle. The latest Road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
