Watches & Warnings

Blizzard Watch
Issued: 9:15 PM CST Feb. 5, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard watch remains in effect from Sunday afternoon through
late Sunday night...

A blizzard watch remains in effect from Sunday afternoon through
late Sunday night.

* Blizzard conditions are possible from Sunday afternoon through
late Sunday night.

* Winds gusting as high as 50 mph could cause whiteout
conditions in blowing snow. Significant drifting of the snow
is likely.

* Total snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are possible.

* Travel could be very difficult or impossible... including during
the morning commute on Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or
blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.
This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very
dangerous.
