Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 9:19 AM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* timing... light snow will gradually taper off by early afternoon... but
areas of blowing snow will continue.

* Accumulations... little additional accumulation is expected
today.

* Wind and visibility... northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts
to 45 mph will persist into the afternoon hours. With a half an
inch of new snow in many locations... this will create periods of
reduced visibility and slick driving conditions.

* Impacts... travel will be very difficult... travel will begin to
improve by sunset.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
