Watches & Warnings

Wind Chill Advisory
Issued: 10:11 AM CST Feb. 12, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 8 am CST Saturday...

* timing... this evening into Saturday morning

* winds... northwest at 5 to 15 mph

* temperatures/wind chill values... wind chill values will drop
into the 20 below to 30 below range... due to the combination of
bitter cold temperatures in the single digits and teens below
zero and the wind.

* Impacts... those with interests outdoors should dress warmly
and cover exposed skin... as frostbite and hypothermia are
possible if the proper precautions are not taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
