Issued: 12:13 PM CST Feb. 14, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* short term trends... light snow will continue to taper off and
has already ended across much of north central Iowa. Some
blowing snow continues to reduce visibilities especially in open
areas.

* Storm total snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches.

* Winds/visibility... southeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 25
mph diminishing by late afternoon. Visibilities as low as one
mile or less at times due to blowing snow.

* Impacts... roads remain partially to completely snow-covered and
slick... with limited visibilities due to blowing and drifting
snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and
use caution while driving.

Any reports of snow accumulations are much appreciated and can be
relayed directly to the National Weather Service using twitter

Moines facebook Page.
